Back in my childhood, when Playing A Link To The Past as my first Zelda game, i could only have 19 hearts, i tried, i tried so much trying to complete the 20 hearts and eventually failed...

This is 100 times easier using NSO. To grind Rupees, use the built-in rewind function of the nso on the treasure game, then use the rupees all on shells, rinse, and repeat. You can use the rewind on betting shells, too. Bet smaller amounts, rewind if not new, bet higher amount, or rewind to before you bet at all, leave the house to reset the randomizer, then try again. Using Nso, I've gotten that heart piece twice now, once in my 99% playthrough that I missed the light arrows in, and once in my 100% playthrough.

I strongly disagree with the fire temple above the forest temple. The fire temple is one of my least favorites.

Am I the only one who did not get the clue for the door gems in ancient cistern? I just hit it in random order and voila got it first try(I think I used up all my luck there and forgot how to make the cisterm move again).

I think DLC was most likely planned, but got cancelled due to the pandemic.

Wasted potential is a massive understatement. The foundation itself is good, but but the game feels like a slightly generous demo. That you get to play a bit before the full games release.

I really like how this game turned out. I remember playing a very early version of it where there were only 6 floors in total (the slums and industrial)

I honestly think the first 3 stages are all incredibly overrated. I mean, jolly Roger Bay isn't exactly overrated, It does get a lot of hate. But I feel like the first 2 are no better

I have no idea how I had the patience to 100% Minish Cap. Getting shells when you already opened every chest and did all the magnets links (no idea what they are called in english, lol) and bulldozed every tile was really tedious. Gave you a gold trophy though

Your list is great, but a bit off with snowpeakruins, Arbiters Grounds and foresttemple. Snowpeakruins is the high quality counterpart to Oot foresttemple and the foresttemple in this game is "fine", places well in the middle I guess. Starter dungeons are often a bit too generic, but I think it's the best starter dungeon in the series! :) Here's my list: 9: Hyrule Castle 8: Goron Mines 7: Palace of Twilight 6: Temple of Time 5: Forest Temple 4: Arbiters Grounds 3: Lakebed Temple 2: City in the Sky 1: Snowpeak Ruins

On Wii U this heart piece is easier to obtain since you can use save states to cheat the gambling minigame for infinite money.

Not a fan of the minish cap really because it feels like the entire game is trying to slow you down to make up for its small map and story.

I wish more games used time travel and NPC schedules to make quests like this one. Does anyone know other games that even attempt to do something like this?

Emulators are the saving grace for this side quest, to the extent that anything can save it. The treasure chest mini game is easily cheated with save states to make the money grind as painless as possible. That's about all that can be done for it without rng manipulation tho.

It’s best to save before wasting any shells, this makes the process a tiny bit more bearable yet only do this quest if you are mad. Such a dirty trick for wasting time.

My least favourite heart pieces to get are the Castle Town charity one in TP and the Bank one in MM. Never actually gotten them. Neither have a hint that you're progressing to a reward, and even after finding out that a heart piece was there in waiting, it just felt a bit wrong somehow? I questioned whether or not the devs even wanted me to get that one ever? Giving the charity guy 1000 rupees is also really excessive when you consider having to give him 20 handfuls of 50 rupees separately. Giving the banker 5000 rupees more than you're withdrawing must take such a long time, all for one heart piece which will turn the bank system into what is effectively and infinite money dispenser which isn't quite to my liking. (Weird preference, I know) I do the Don Gero quest every playthrough because it keeps me engaged and I like getting the frogs together. The Banker though? I dread the day I do a 100% playthrough.

Very very surprised at the Don Gero heart being first here. It's one of my favourites. Coming across all these frogs throughout the game and then figuring out that they're all part of a choir and trying to retrace your steps to reunite them was awesome. Maybe it sucks if you're reading a wiki for missing heart pieces and think "eugh! That's a lot of steps!" but it was enjoyable for me as a "these details of the world have meaning" kind of quest

I thought this was easier and more fun than trying to climb anything in breath of the wild!

My top two favourite is 2 Skyward temple due to King Dreadnought and 1 is the entire Desert region because of the ancient machines but the it's the Pirate captain that makes the sandship the best part of desert. I wish they added the fighting trail like in Windwaker though

The worst part for me is that you can not get the heart peace before facing the last boss. I need full health when battling the last battle. Not that i'm bad at the game and need the extra hitpoint. But i always complete the health bar before battling the final boss in every Zelda game.

I never really was that into the heart piece thing simply because you have to collect Four of them to even get one extra heart. Twilight princess changed them to five making them even less rewarding. I would rather less heart pieces to get but more rewarding, like if you had to collect just two to get a full heart that would be way better to me.

I actually hated ancient cistern. I think it boils down to hating the swimming controls. By the time I got to the boss I was just wanting to be done. And I really enjoyed lanayru mining facility, but the same ship was a much better take on the time shift stones

What about the 2 RNG heart pieces in the Oracle games though? Where you have to plant a tree and bump into the witch over and over until you finally get lucky and get them. They always annoy the hell out of me every playthrough :(

Did this one as a kid, started playing it again on the switch and remembered the grind, half-way there lol

That third place one is NOTHING not even remotely hard I always beat it onn my first 3 tries whenn playinng or replayinng Twilight princess. Also Twilight is like the easiest game to gather thousands of Rupees in it. its SO easy they made an armor specifically to waste rupees. Also the trading sequence is not that terrible, at least it was engaging and if you enjoyed sailing it was actually fun. Especially if you did it while playing the game naturally and exploring. No the REAL number 1 worst heart piece from Wind waker and most of the games period is the FUCKING SQUID HUNT TRASH. its like the shell game all over again sometimes taking hundreds of attempts. The first heart piece is not so bad but getting treasure map number 23 needs you to win in under 20 cannon balls relying PURELY on luck resulting inn needing DOZENS of attempts costing easily several hundred rupees PLUS then you have to actually go extract the treasure which is already painful as is. I get the arguement for mini games when it comes to the skill based ones sure, but luck based mini games are a TOTALLY different story ESPECIALLY when they have a time or ammo limit on them to get a non-rupee award.

I'm so mixed with Superstars because I was obsessed with it when it came out. It was very replayable, and I love Mario Party. I don't love Peach's Birthday Cake and Woody Woods, but hey there's Space Land and Horror Land! We played it a ton. And then as time went on, I started getting bored and kept thinking "where is the dlc?". I own almost all the Mario Party games and Superstars was very convenient because we almost always have our switch set up, so we don't have to pull out the N64 or GameCube to play it. Now I'd rather just set up those consoles than have to play Superstars, which is super dry and kinda boring now.

But the other superstars games like for the Mario bros series were kinda the same thing, purely nostalgia compilation. So we got that but for Mario party. I get what Nintendo was going for. Hopefully jamboree will be great, I hate how people are already sh*tting on jamboree just because it has the name “super mario party” in it.

I mean, it's Capcom we're talking about. These guys made the Monster Hunter series where every time you need a 2% drop rate item, all your mates get it multiple times before you do after grinding dozens of times the same monster. Of course they had to make the worst heart piece in Zelda history.
